One hour of excitement and energy!
“Wow! Such excitement and energy!” That’s what I heard about this morning’s Central Iowa Bloggers meetup at Panera on University in Clive.
Well, it might not show so much from the video… Who knew this bunch of outgoing bloggers would be so shy around the camera? Why is that? Maybe next time we’ll figure out a way to bring the camera around to join the discussion… You can hear a lot of energy and conversation in the room though! Tune in REAL HARD and you’ll enjoy some really interesting conversation.
Thanks to those who tuned in live!
Also, thanks to Mike Sansone for supplying the camera, computer, and Sprint broadband card. (does seem that upload on the card is a bit slow for streaming video… I had the settings set pretty low, and it still came out quite choppy)
No commentsHow do you measure success of your blog?
Here’s an interesting video discussing how to measure “success” of your site using Google Analytics.
Using this data, coupled with RSS data gathered from services like Feedburner, you can not only get a good idea about what’s going on on your site, but also what type of content people are reading.
Used wisely, this data can help you steer your blog to better success.
Blog comments via video?
You probably didn’t even think about this possibility, but it was inevitable. I mean, people are finding new and unique ways to use video online every day.
It seems Viddler community evangelist, Colin Devroe has been putting together a WordPress plugin to allow the comments section of WordPress blogs to contain video.
Here’s a sample of what he’s put together on his own blog — with some folks already eagerly posting video comments. Interesting for sure!
Are you ready to adopt the idea? Are your readers ready to reply with video?
